MAURA OF AURA

Maura Murphy graduated from The Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA with a Degree in Voice and Music Business.  Aura was created as the sum of old songs from her former bands, brought to life with the creation of her final band developed in Los Angeles. Auras song, Go On, the 8th track on her first cd, Running Yourself Against Nothing has been li- censed as the theme song for the E-Style Network TV show Relationship Rehab, by www.call4ally.com as the lead char- acters music video and by CBSs, The Young & The Restless 4-6-05. A review from All Access Magazine’s Devin Strec- ker describes Aura’s voice as… \\\"Amazing, soulful, confident vocals soar over the music, alternating between a strong  powerhouse and a soft, romantic lullaby. Bob Leggett from Music Connection Magazine described AURA: “This group  has chemistry, great chops, memorable lyrics and a look that should take them far – all in all, the total package for suc- cess.”

Aura was created in 2001 in Boston, MA, stretched down to NYC and then moving out to L.A. in 2004 and joining with Nick Johnson on lead guitar, Scott Borakove on drums and found the newest member, Marcelo Feldman in '07 on bass. Every member of AURA graduated from Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA and joined together in Los Angeles to create a unique sounding, female-fronted rock band having "memorable, catchy songs and a dynamic, heart wrenching live performance!!"  Aura is back in the studio in August 2007 to record their third album!  Aura has licensed a song to the creators of Laguna Beach's newest tv show to first be aired on the internet this fall!  Check out the latest news on AURA at www.AuraSings.com or at www.myspace.com/aurasings!
